Final Post before Submission
So thanks to my brain giving me a helpful migraine the night before the test/exam, I missed it. Apparently there'll be another chance to sit it in January, so I'm grateful for that at least. However, I still have to upload this blog so I guess this is a summary. Admittedly the blog is a wee bit barebones, most of my research and revision was done through either Mimo or W3Schools, with a smattering of stack overflow. While coding is still by far my weakest module, I'm still in a much better place than I was at the beginning of the year. I've gone from knowing a little about Java and nothing about Python, to still only knowing a little bit about Java and a reasonable amount of Python in relation to Maya. I still struggle with the more advanced things in Maya like creating menus and other specific commands, but I've got most of the basics we'll need in TB2 down to make the city generator. I can slap down poly objects, modify their names, size, position, etc and animate them to a basic degree. I can make an item, assign it to a class, then use it as a template for creating more varied objects slightly faster than I would be able to manually. Admittedly, I still find the visual interface of Maya much easier to use overall - I'm not and I doubt I ever will be a coder. But it's still info I need to know, and I'm sure future employers will require it to a degree as well.
